Jamba Juice knows how to market

As I ventured out of our office in search of lunch this afternoon I came across this sign in front of the Jamba Juice one block from our downtown office. This was a great experience for two reasons. First, it’s a bright sunny day in San Francisco, which is a nice break from the summer cold and fog. Second, Jamba Juice was presenting me with an impressively highly-targeted advertisement. Sure it was lucky on their part, but hey, they recognized me as a market research professional with a penchant for number-crunching. I had a nice lunch at Jamba Juice today.

I thought the sentiment expressed on the sign was a great one to share in our first blog post. Here at AnswerLab we’ve been working hard at number crunching, reviewing user feedback, crafting recommendations and presenting results to clients. We enjoy the chance (at our lunch break, for example) to step back and take a big picture look at what we’re seeing in this fascinating and ever-changing industry.

Ours is a business of curiosities, investigations and discoveries. We set out to discover one thing and often wind up discovering something else. Because this happens often in research, and because we want to share our thoughts, insights and ideas we have created LabLog. Enjoy!
